Here’s one of the most unpleasant aspects of being a celebrity: stalkers ! Thomas Brodnicki , a man who reportedly told his therapist that God had ordered him to kill Selena Gomez , was released from jail after the stalking case against him was dismissed. The judge ruled that there was not enough evidence to prove he had actually been stalking the singer. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office said in a statement: “After a preliminary hearing the judge over our strong objection ruled that the defendant lacked the intent to cause fear to the victim and dismissed the case. We are evaluating our next step.” I guess Thomas’ history of stalking didn’t matter in this case. Selena must be so worried! She does have a temporary restraining order in place, however, that prevents him from coming within 100 yards. Next month there will be a hearing to see if it should be made permanently.
