The New York Film Festival opened tonight with a premiere of the movie Carnage starring Jodie Foster and John C.Reilly at the Avery Fisher Hall in NYC. Jodie and John walked the red carpet and posed for pictures together to promote their movie. Carnage is described as; the story of two sets of parents who decide to have a cordial meeting after their sons are involved in a schoolyard brawl. Hmmm, sounds interesting. Naomi Campbell currently in France attending the 2011 Cannes International Film Festival, but unlike the other celebrities, Naomi will actually be hosting her own event during the famous festival Yesterday the model attended a photocall for her Fashion For Relief event. Tao Okamoto, Franca Sozzani, Zach Abraham and Philip Huang joined Naomi posing for photos by the harbor-side. Naomi recently voiced her shock and horror over the disaster in Japan and wanted to make a difference. “The destruction caused by the earthquake is completely heartbreaking, it’s so hard to even begin to comprehend the tragic loss the people of Japan are coping with. I felt very passionate to try and help in whatever way possible, to do our part and to support Japan at this time. I hope that the money raised from Fashion For Relief in Cannes will support those who need it most.” Dolce & Gabbana designed charity T-shirts and other various designers have donated red carpet dresses for the show. Fashion for Relief was founded in 2005 to help aid the Hurricane Katrina victims and has raised £4.5 million so far. Photos: Wenn.com

Wow! I have a feeling that Rachel McAdams is definitely going to be the ‘belle of the ball’ of this Cannes Film Festival! Every time we’ve seen her she has looked incredible! Last night Rachel was spotted arriving to an Aftershow Party with a friend in a gorgeous pale blue dress that was very low cut but still managed to look demure. Today, the actress shone on the red carpet for the premiere of ‘ Sleeping Beauty’ wearing a gold beaded bustier and high waisted pants. Perfection! Emily Browning looks beautiful as she was seen attending the photocall for Sleeping Beauty at the Cannes Film Festival today. Browning , who was most recently seen in Sucker Punch , was originally rumoured to be in the running to play Snow White in the upcoming Snow White and the Woodsmen before Kristen Stewart was cast in the role. Sleeping Beauty is described by IMDB as; A haunting erotic fairytale about Lucy, a young University student drawn into a mysterious hidden world of beauty and desire. Wow, that’s definitely not the Disney version! I love Emily’ s red carpet look here. Her dress is gorgeous and it doesn’t over power her. I’d say she got the look just right for this film festival. Rachel Bilson wasn’t at the Tribeca Film Festival for long! She reportedly caught a plane right after hitting the red carpet, and now she and Hayden Christensen are vacationing in Barbados. So I’d say it’s safe to assume that, at least for the moment, this off-again, on-again couple is back on ! Dita Von Teese and her fiancee Count Louis Marie de Castelbajac spent the day checking out the Coachella Music Festival over the weekend.
