“Jersey Shore” star Mike “the Situation” Sorrentino wants us to know that there’s much more to him than what we see on the reality TV shows. He sat down with the “ Today ” show to chat about his goals. He believes that he has gotten this far in the celebrity game because he’s a deep person : “I’m a very deep person. And that’s why I am where I am right now.” The reality [TV] was just my way in for me, that wasn’t my goal. That was just my way in to show people who I am, what I’m about,” he said. “Eventually [I want to do] movies and scripted [series.]” Mike, who is promoting his new book, “Here’s the Situation: A Guide to Creeping on Chicks, Avoiding Grenades, and Getting Your GTL on the Jersey Shore”, wants us to know that it’s not meant to be taken seriously. “It’s a humorous look or guide at being in your 20’s, eating, going out, dating, working out,” It cracks me up that all of these reality stars want us to know the “real” them after their shows are over. Um, isn’t your show supposed to be based on “reality” – the “real” you? I’m looking at you, Paris Hilton, and girls from The Hills.
