Snoad’s departure will come as a blow to the company who was forced to admit in January that its full-year results would be “below market expectations.” A former Harrods and Cartier executive, Snoad ran Theo Fennell for six years before leaving in 2007. Having rejoined in May 2009, Snoad was charged with turning the company around after a period of dire trading. The jeweller, which counts Elton John, Naomi Campbell, David Beckham and Kate Beckinsale among its customers said Snoad has “worked closely with [founder] Theo Fennell and the board to successfully refocus the business.” The company yesterday confirmed Mr. Fennell would be taking the reigns as managing director during the interim period.
