(Named after Kate Beckinsale) So, we are out on a little testing of some station lights where we drive out from Station sometimes over 6 miles and we monitor visibility of the lights back on station including a beacon. We go out in bad weather and navigate by GPS and we take this Tucker Sno-Cat. It happens to be one that was used in the movie “Whiteout” starring Kate Beckinsale, Gabriel Macht and Tom Skerrit… whatever! Anyway, this machine came equipped with LED running lights that when you turn on some music, they pulsate to the beat….. strange days indeed. Anyway, it was an out of this world experience driving around in the dark with swirling snow on the top of the Greenland ice sheet listening to tunes…. lights reacting to the music…..
